Relief that reaches the doorstep.

Rahat Foundation is the on-the-ground partner of Canada's Truman Foundation — bringing food, clean water, healthcare and education to families across Swabi, one household at a time.

Rahat — the Urdu word for comfort, ease and relief.

How giving works

From a gift in Canada to a doorstep in Zaida.

This website never asks for your card details and processes no payments. Giving happens securely through our Canadian partner — and arrives here as relief.

  1. Give through Truman Foundation

Donate on Truman Foundation's secure website. Canadian donors receive an official tax receipt from a registered charity.

  2. Funds reach the ground team

Truman Foundation transfers program funds to Rahat Foundation — its vetted, long-term ground partner in District Swabi.

  3. Rahat delivers & reports back

Our volunteers deliver the program in person and send photos, records and updates back — so donors see exactly what their gift did.

Where we serve

Rooted in Zaida.
Serving all of Swabi.

Zaida is a historic town on the banks of the Indus in District Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our volunteers live in the very streets and villages they serve — which means help arrives fast, respectfully, and to the families who need it most.

  • Local knowledge: needs are verified door-to-door by people the community already trusts.
  • Low overhead: volunteer-driven delivery means gifts go into programs, not offices.
  • Year-round presence: not a visiting NGO — a permanent neighbour, in good seasons and hard ones.
Our story

From the field

Real work, in real photos.

Every photo below was taken by our own volunteers during a program — nothing staged, nothing borrowed.

“We live where we serve. When a family in Zaida sleeps hungry, it is our own street that sleeps hungry.”
